Usually you guys are used to me making beats in reason 5 and doing Youtube Reason 5 tutorials, but now I got some new garageband ipad 2 music beat making tutorial sessions for beginners. My little nephew wanted to learn how to hiphop make beats and fully produced songs on ipad.
Audio technology has taken us far, especially with these new ipad music apps, it’s like having an Akai MPC at your disposal whenever you need to make a song. I was messing around with just the drums in my uncles garageband on the iPad 4.3.3 and was simply blown away. I’m still waiting for Propellerhead Reason 5 app for my iPad 2, I know that hip hop, guitar and drum musicians will have a field day with their music mobile ipad2 in their laps, making beats or full complete songs while driving down the street.
Ipad 2 for the musician is going to be pivotal in music making in our day. Garageband has been the go to music app software for the Mac user. But now with Windows 7 Garageband and the up and coming applications for the PC and iPad 2 we should have more than enough music applications for making beats, loops, songs and fully produced music scores. So far I have not seen or worked with Garageband for windows 7, seen a few Youtube tutorial videos, but I expect it to be out of this world for PC Mac and iPad 2 audio music production.
I produced a what I would call a mobile beat while driving with my nephew to Guitar Center. I will upload it as an iPad 2 Garageband music tutorial. As you all well know, I currently produce a lot of Reason 5 Hip Hop Beat Making tutorials for beginners as well as established professionals looking for additional insight and production tips and techniques to add to their music productive skills and talents.
The reason I’m interested in mobile apps is because I heard about Garageband for windows 7 from a drummer musician producer Andre, I heard this awesome song he produced, he says it’s just like the one for Mac, but from me working with the mobile ipad2 version I’m anxious to get my hands on the official audio app for PC.

Logic studio is considered the Grand father of Garageband. When you want to get into professional mixing, recording and mastering, you go to Logic Studio. Garageband for iPad is like a mini me version of Logic, so of course it would be logical to have a first, second and third generation of musical apps so that you can get a feel for the apps at a very small and user friendly size, and as you grow your audio production skills and as your music matures, you would want to elevate your production or beat making skills by eventually upgrading to the professional application software. But for now, let me show you what is possible with the simple music iPad app GARAGEBAND.

URBAN FLAVORED CHORD PROGRESSIONS EXPLORED
Trey Songz “Can’t Be Friends” video comedy parody was a fun way to explore the use of chord progressions in a song. We’ve been discussing chords, the cycle of fifths and music theory as a whole for the past year and this new realization has had a significant impact on our music. In this new tutorial beat making video we listen intently to Trey Songz “Can’t Be Friends” paying close attention to the chords and progressions used, what key the producer was in and what made those piano chords so solemn, sad, but yet beautiful. This new Youtube mini-sode is a new variety show produced to entertain, educate and inspire. It’s the first episode of many to be uploaded to the youtube community for entertainment and educational purposes.
Trey Songz has re-emerged and has elevated his status to the levels of R. Kelly, Chris Brown and many others. His new Mario Winans produced track “Can’t Be Friends” from his new release debut “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” has hit the airwaves, internet and Youtube community by storm. We often include in our Beat Making Tutorials some current new artist production work so as to case study the music, so it can help us to discern whats hot and how to stay current and relevant in today’s music industry. Trey Songz Cant Be Friends parody was a perfect way to teach through entertainment form to take the edge off of strained teaching. Software used in this Hip Hop beat session was Reason 5 Propellerhead Kong Drum Designer, Blocks, Akai MPK49 MPC style sampler. And Neptune Pitch adjustment was used for 1 minor off note. Reason 5 – Kong Drum Designer – New Tutorial
What Up Doe Fam? Reason 5 is HERE! I just thought you should know I just posted some (micro sessions) on Youtube….you might be interested in it. I’m using Propellerheads New Reason 5. I was able to get my hands on Reason 5 and I’ll tell you what, I now officially have a new religion. As far as my music is concerned, Propellerheads is the new church I attend. In one word “KONG”!
